This collection houses a brochure, three issues of Armed Forces Talk, handouts, a map, a certificate, a class roster, and lecture outlines documenting the Field Economic Mobilization Course of the Industrial College of the Armed Forces that was held at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville's Law College between May 25 and June 5, 1953. It also contains some University of Tennessee ephemera, including three issues of the Orange and White from 1941, a student handbook from 1929-1930, a booklet of UT student football tickets, and two non-UT ticket stubs from 1976.

Abstract

Biographical/Historical Note

Frederick Alexander Elmore was born to Frederick Alexander and Annabelle (Cox) Elmore on November 19, 1918. He completed three years of college before enlisting in the U. S. Army in 1941, where he continued to serve through the Cold War. Elmore married Dorothy Jean Sevier, and the couple had at least one child, Jeanne Bartlett.
