Abstract

This collection houses a program for the Appalachian Fair held in Newport, Tennessee in 1906.

Biographical/Historical Note

The Appalachian Fair Association was organized in 1904 with John M. Johns as President. It was intended to encourage local farmers to increase their production of better agricultural products. The fairgrounds are now a park.
