This collection contains the research materials of Dr. Jane F. Lancaster for her book Removal Aftershock: the Seminoles' Struggles to Survive in the West, 1836-1866, published by the UT Press in 1994. Jane F. Lancaster is an independent historian specializing in relations between the United States government and the Native-American nations during the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. She lives in Hamilton, Mississippi.
