Scope Note:

Head-Quarters Dist. West Tennessee

Memphis, Tenn., May 2 1865

Pickets will pass J. T. Willis, wife and four children through the lines, in any conveyance, by any open road for thirty days, with ONE VEHICLE; at the expiration of the period for which this pass is given, or sooner, the holder will render it up to the Pickets, to be returned to these Head-Quarters, and cancelled. Any other person than such as named in this pass attempting to use it will be arrested and treated as an enemy.
