Biography / History

In 1898 Stephen Crane (1871-1950) wrote "The Bride Comes to Yellow Sky," the story of a marshal bringing his bride to the town of Yellow Sky, Texas, and averting a gun fight, representing the stereotypical Old West's fall to civilization. James Agee adapted the piece for a segment in the RKO film "Face to Face" (1952).
