Biography / History
Dr. Kendric C. Smith founded the American Society of Photobiology in 1972. The ASP promotes research in photobiology, integration of different photobiology disciplines, and dissemination of photobiology knowledge. It also provides information on the photobiological aspects of national and international issues.
Collection Scope and Content Note
This collection houses financial records, meeting records, and manuscripts documenting the American Society of Photobiology between 1955 and 1993. Many of these items were either created or held by the Society's founder and first president, Dr. Kendric C. Smith.
