Collection Scope and Content Note

A letter written from a man named W.L Salsbury to his wife from Hurricane Bridge, Tennessee on August 4, 1864 during the Civil War. In the letter he writes to tell her that he will soon be coming home from his service. He also later states that he received orders to report back to Tringto within ten days of the end of his current service. He tells his wife that he will use the ten days to come home to her, and talk face to face. He also writes to tell her that other men in his company are doing fine.
