Abstract:
This collection contains the research materials of Dr. Jane F. Lancaster for her book Removal Aftershock: the Seminoles' Struggles to Survive in the West, 1836-1866. This includes research notes, bibliography, research correspondence, and photocopies of territorial maps and articles. There also some items for the aid of researchers, such as Oklahoma maps and pamphlets of places to do research.

Biography / History

Jane F. Lancaster is an independent historian specializing in relations between the United States government and the Native-American nations during the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. She lives in Hamilton, Mississippi.


Collection Scope and Content Note

This collection contains the research materials of Dr. Jane F. Lancaster for her book Removal Aftershock: the Seminoles' Struggles to Survive in the West, 1836-1866, published by the UT Press in 1994. This includes research notes, bibliography, research correspondence, and photocopies of territorial maps and articles. There also some items for the aid of researchers, such as Oklahoma maps and pamphlets of places to do research.
