Biography / History

Frank and Albert Dietrich were identical twins raised in Pittsburgh. Frank was drafted into the Army Air Forces and was shipped to the Philippines in 1945, and later prepared for the invasion of Japan. Albert was an outspoken pacifist who filed as conscientious objector status, spent two year building dams, saving farmland, and working on sanitation projects in the states of South Dakota, Iowa, and Florida. They kept in touch throughout the war by writing hundreds of letters to each other. Albert Dietrich died in 2002 in the state of Maine, where he was a social worker. Frank Dietrich resides in Colorado with his wife Christine (Chris).
