This collection contains three letters from John and Rufus Roberson. In an 1844 letter, John Roberson writes from East Tennessee University (now the University of Tennessee) requesting money. In another letter, Rufus details the death of brother John Roberson during the Mexican-American War. An 1846 letter, written from an unidentified camp, from John Roberson to an unidentitfied friend as well as an 1847 muster roll of the Fourth Tennessee Cavalry (Caswell's company) can also be found in the collection.
