Granville Hunt was a photographer for the Knoxville News Sentinel beginning in 1928, and later a photographer for the Tennessee Valley Authority.

This collection consists of black-and-white photographs by Knoxville-based photographer Granville Hunter in the 1920s and 1930s. The topics of the photographs are varied, and some of the subject matter may be considered controversial (particularly photographs in folder 8). The photographs have been arranged in folders generally based on topic. Also included in the collection is sampling of newspaper clippings in which Hunt's photographs appear.
