Biography / History
Helen Bullard, the wife of author Joseph Marshall Krechniak, was well known for her doll making skills and work for and support of N.I.A.D.A. The Krechniak's were originally from Chicago, but the family moved to Ozone, Tennessee, during the Great Depression because the cost of living was cheaper than in Chicago. Helen Bullard died on October 31, 1996.
Collection Scope and Content Note
This collection contains correspondence and various documents pertaining to Helen Bullard's proposed trip to Kyoto, Japan, for the 1978 World Crafts Council Conference.
