Biography / History

Thomas N. Parlon was born June 29, 1912 on a farm near Lafayette, Indiana. He joined the National Guard in 1926 at the age of fourteen as a trumpet player (for 3 years). In 1939 he joined the Navy, and later served as an Armed Guard Officer on the S.S. William K. Vanderbilt.
