Biography / History
William Gannaway Brownlow, III, son of John F. Brownlow, was born October 9, 1918, in Knoxville, Tennessee. He attended Knoxville High School and in 1941 graduated as a finance major from the University of Tennessee with a B.S. in Business Administration.
