Biography / History
Georgia Robertson Christian College began as Henderson Male and Female College in 1869. In 1877, it became the Henderson Masonic Male and Female Institute; in 1885, West Tennessee Christian College; in 1897, Georgia Robertson Christian College; in 1908, National Teachers' Normal and Business College; in 1919 Freed-Hardman College and in 1990, Freed-Hardman University. Although the name has changed, the current institution remains a Christian school.
