Alzada Knickerbocker manages a bookstore in California and is a member of the Northern California Independent Booksellers Association.

Dr. Kenneth L. Knickerbocker was born in Dallas, Texas, in 1905. He graduated from Southern Methodist University and received his Ph.D. from Yale University. In 1946, Dr. Knickerbocker joined the University of Tennessee faculty as a professor of English. From 1957 to 1963, Dr. Knickerbocker served as associate dean of the College of Liberal Arts. He was appointed academic vice-president for the university system in 1971 and held the post until 1973 when he returned to teaching. He retired in 1975.
