Biography / History

Will Allen Dromgoole was born in Murfreesboro in 1860. She began as a writer of stories and novels, but also edited a journal ( Will Allen's Journal: A Literary Society Weekly ) and wrote for the Nashville Banner after 1900 (including the column "Song and Story" for 31 years). After serving in the U.S. Navy during World War I, she returned to Tennessee, serving as literary editor of the Banner until her death in 1934.


Collection Scope and Content Note

This letter was written to Henry W. Jones from Will Allen Dromgoole in January 1915. In reference to some unidentified paper Jones apparently did not receive, Dromgoole requests the appropriate information to send a replacement.
