Biography / History
Geza Mihalotzy served as a Lieutenant Colonel in Company F and Company S of the 24th Illinois Infantry Regiment. He died on March 11, 1864 from wounds received in action.
Collection Scope and Content Note
Mihalotzy reports unserviceable equipment in the possession of his men. The Ordnance Stores took care of issues and transfers of military supplies including weapons, ammunition, and maintenance tools and equipment. This Form 7 (a.) may be used by those studying the allocation of weapons among Union troops.
