Biography / History

Robert L. Forrester, Jr. was born in 1918 in Watertown, Tennessee. He enlisted in the Army Air Corps as an aviation cadet on August 16, 1941. He trained at Hicks Field, Kelley Field, and Randolph Field (all in Texas) before being stationed in the Panama Canal Zone. Forrester died on July 30, 1942 when his plane went down near Ecuador during a training exercise.
