Biography / History

Harold Garber received his B.S. and M.S. from the University of Cincinnati. He was an Assistant and Associate Professor at Cincinnati from 1938-1947 and a Lecturer at Purdue University from 1938-1945. He taught Chemical Engineering at the university of Tennessee from 1947-1955. He was a member of Tau Beta Phi, Phi Gamma Epsilon, and the Association of Chemical Engineers.

Garber worked for several companies in the Knoxville and Oak Ridge area after leaving the University, including NUMEC, Westinghouse, and ARCO. He died in 1991.
