Biography / History
A prominent physician concerned with the biological effects of radiation, Dr. Dunham (1906-1975) became heavily involved in radiation research, holding positions on various boards and committees in this filed. The most important of these positions was as President of the Radiation Research Society (1969-70). Dr. Dunham received numerous awards and honors for his achievements in both medical and radiation science. Among them are the Medical Alumni Association Distinguished Service award, University of Chicago (1952), and the Alumni Association Professional Achievement Award, University of Chicago (1974). In addition, he was awarded membership in the Alpha Omega Alph Honor Medical Society (1974).
