This collection of 19 scrapbooks was presented to the University of Tennessee Library in June, 1947, in memory of Mr. & Mrs. George F. Harrison of Knoxville, by Mrs. Harrison's niece, Miss Carrie Lou Early.

Collection consists of sixteen boxes divided into six series:

Biography / History
Eleanor Aurin Harrison, a life-long resident of Knoxville, was born in 1872 and died in April of 1947. She was the daughter of J. T. and Catherine Nance Aurin. She served as Chaplain and Historian for the Bonnie Kate Chapter, National Society, Daughters of the American Revolution. She was also a member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy, Knoxville Chapter, Number 89. A member of Saint John's Episcopal Church, Mrs. Harrison served for many years as Secretary of the Woman's Guild. Mrs. Harrison also served as Chairman of St. John's Chapter for Red Cross work in World War II, and she received special commendation for her many hours of volunteer service. As a hobby, Mrs. Harrison assembled a number of scrapbooks from information gathered from newspapers, magazines, folders, and other sources from many parts of the world.
