Collection consists of six volumes.

Morris M. Newcomer was born in Pennsylvania in about 1864. He married Lucy in Reading, Pennsylvania, on November 22, 1883, and the couple later moved to Knoxville, Tennessee, where Morris Newcomer managed a store. In October of 1907, Newcomer, Charles F. Young, William A. McBath, William E. Dunford, and John O. Tilley formed the M.M. Newcomer Company. This organization seems to have been intended to expand Newcomer's original enterprise. M.M. Newcomers remained in business until 1932, when it was replaced by Knox Dry Goods. Morris Newcomer's date of death is not known.
