Biography / History
Miriam Strauss Weiss was born on May 9, 1905 in Tupelo, Mississippi. She earned her B.A. degree from the University of Wisconsin in 1926 and her M.A. from Memphis State College (now Memphis State University) in 1964. At various times in her life, she was the editor of the Hebrew Watchman (1927-1933), a buyer for Sears Roebuck (1933-1965), and an Instructor at the Joint University Center (1965-1973). She died in 1989.
