Abstract: This edition of the World War II Collection contains memorabilia and pictures from the foot soldier and seaman to the top officers. In addition to diaries, books and training manuals, this collection houses Regimental and Divisional histories and interviews of veterans. Among the most prominent groups of items are the Pacific Theatre photographs donated by Harwell Proffit, and photographs of the European Theatre donated by Harry Leake and John Joseph Wise (in oversize). Represented therein are such eminent figures as Gen. McArthur, Adm. Halsey, Gen. Eisenhower, King Umberto I of Italy, King Victor Emmanuel of Italy, Gen. Patton, and Prime Minister Churchill. This collection is arranged alphabetically by last name of the collector.

Much in the diary is of a religious nature, regarding the Methodist Church, mentions of preachers, and sermons. Also in the collection is another handwritten book that appears to be her daughter's first school exercise book.
